2021 Lecture Series: Contained Exuberance

Many of us have had the pleasure of visiting Bob Hyland’s fabulous garden in Portland, so we know that he is an accomplished plantsman and designer. Bob loves potted plants in the garden, and considers them an integral part of garden design. He feels that the choice of container is just as important as the plants that are planted in them. He will illustrate his lecture with compositions of climate-adapted plants for sun and shade, succulent bowls, and flowing pots of grasses, sedges and restios.
