Deer Resistant Gardening

Taught by Adam Romero. Deer are omnipresent in many of our gardens. So too can be the voracious appetites. This talk explores how to garden with deer in the landscape, focusing on deer biology, plant selection, and garden design. Designing for and selecting plants with deer in mind can help turn deer from pests that eat our prized plants into animals co-present in our garden ecosystems, all while offering fresh opportunities to rethink how we approach gardening." Adam M. Romero is an Associate Professor of Environmental Studies at the University of Washington Bothell and has been a WSU Master Gardener for more than 10 years. Adam lives in the Cascade foothills where he is building a deer-resistant wildlife garden.
