Saturday August 10

2:00 PM  –  5:00 PM

Learn about native berries and other fruit of the forest and their ecological significance. Create a beautiful portrait of a native plant using colored pencils on walnut ink stained paper. Explore realistic style using colored pencils and other supporting media. We will begin with loose sketching from observation, explore various techniques using colored pencils (embossing, blending, layering), experiment with creating textures and discuss how to approach a composition. By the end of the workshop students will complete a dynamic and evocative portrait of native berries or other woodland fruit. All supplies provided.
