Educator Workshop: Hands-on Nature Activities

Are you looking for ways to engage early learners (ages 3-6 years) with nature?

This workshop will introduce you to two valuable guides: Trees & Me: Activities for Exploring Nature with Young Children and Growing Up WILD. These activity guides use best practices in early childhood education to help young children to explore their natural world. The guides contain 38 nature-based themes and over 100 activities complete with background information, outdoor activities, ideas for healthy snacks, math, art, songs, literature, and more. In addition, you’ll learn fascinating things about Pacific NW plants and animals. Join us for a fun workshop and be ready to hit the ground running with a new nature-based bag of tricks!  (Participants can earn 3.5 Washington State approved STARS credit hours or STEM clock hours)
