Expressive Acrylic Painting

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday April 6

9:00 AM  –  1:00 PM

Come and create a brilliant botanical artwork! Acrylics are a very versatile medium with bright colors, infinite techniques and ease of use. One technique is to start with black gesso paint as the first layer. This allows the artist to create lovely, organic outlines around the subjects to make them pop off of the surface. In this class we will create two projects: A small warm-up project on a wood surface, and a larger painting of a geranium on canvas. Students should have some basic painting skills, but not necessarily much experience. The instructor will provide the materials. Terry MacDonald is a local artist who strives to imbibe her works with joy! She is a regular at NW art fairs and shows her work through galleries and online. As an instructor, she hopes to connect students to the beauty around them and the joy within.
