Taught by Erin Cox. Let’s make some cordage! One of the best ways to get to know the weave-ability of a plant is by trying to make cordage with it.  Cordage is a 2-stranded hand-woven rope or twine. In this workshop you will get started on your own cordage collection using locally available plants including daylily, crocosmia, dandelion and more! All materials will be provided you just need to bring a sense of exploration and fun.

Erin found her life's passion in basketry and wild crafting. In 2024 she established a small basketry willow farm in Carnation, Washington, where she invites students to learn, harvest, and engage with the materials. In 2025, she opened Field and Forest Crafts and her own private teaching studio in NE Seattle.
