Rohini Mathur will teach you how to simplify shapes, apply color theory concepts, and create paintings that look fresh and joyful. Participants will paint a summer garden scene with dahlias and daisies taking inspiration from a still life set-up.
The class will cover how to paint with bold-loose brushstrokes, underpainting and layering, composition basics, and mixing a strong color palette.
Participants will also learn:
1) How to create a powerful color palette and impact in their work.
2) How to combine colors and add strong light and shadow in nature.
3) How to simplify shapes and create dynamic compositions.
4) How to determine value and temperature in paintings.
This is a beginner class with all supplies included. $70 BBGS members/$100 nonmembers.
