Tea: Experience the journey from plant to cup

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday April 21

7:00 PM  –  8:15 PM

Taught by Roberta Fuhr. Tea has a five-thousand-year history and is enjoyed by people all over the world, but many do not know much about it. In this class you will taste three delicious styles – white, green and pu’erh – that come from the “true tea” plant Camellia sinensis, while we explore the science, history and culture of tea. Roberta will share pictures from her trips to tea-producing countries to enrich the class experience and you. Each registrant will receive a tasting kit of loose-leaf teas, tea sleeves for ease of steeping, and instructions prior to the class. Participants will steep along with Roberta, but it is also acceptable to steep the teas on your own time before or after the class.

Participants who register by April 7 will have their kits mailed to them. Anyone registering after April 7 will need to arrange to pick up their kit in Issaquah.
